Lancaster City FC looks to begin preparations for the spring season in the coming weeks. What do you need to know for 2021? Lets take a look back on the fall as we begin to look forward.
The men's and women's teams enjoyed a successful fall campaign in 2020 during a challenging year. The men sit in third place garnering 16 points in the USL of PA with a record of 4-0-2. A goal differential of +6 is highlighted by 16 goals for and 10 against in 6 games. Andrea DiSomma is the leading league goal scorer with 3 on the season while ten other players have tallied goals for LCFC. The men's side has also had one of the most successful showings in the Amateur Cup in club history advancing to the semi-finals. A win over the Ukrainian Nationals Majors in penalties set up a semi-final clash against West Chester Reserves that ultimately saw us bow out of the cup. The women sit on top of the table of the USL of PA taking 19 points from 9 games with a record of 6-1-2. The ladies have scored an impressive 28 goals while only allowing 11 for a goal differential of +17. The leading scorer in the fall was Ashley Hauck with 6 goals while 14 others have gotten their names on the scoresheet. Looking forward to the spring, the schedules are to be released soon with the men and women hungry to keep up their form. Practices will be starting in the coming weeks as both teams start to prepare for their first matches in March. Both teams will still play home matches at Lancaster Catholic High School and as always if you are interested in learning more feel free to get in touch via Facebook, or fill out our contact form on the website.
